estate at saint-andre-et-appeles, product of france, 2003 harvest gold medal paris agriculture 2004 contest, great wine of bordeaux, family owned estate of 30 hectares, the vineyard of chateau grand montet is located atop the hills south of saint foy la grande. the three grapes the wine is made from (50% merlot, 25% cabernet franc, and 25% cabernet sauvignon) are enriched by dense plantings, producing wines rich in sugar and always harvested at perfect maturity. the wine tastes good accompagnied by grilled red meat, raw vegatables and all cheeses.
